Fun, Joy, Cheer and Laughter was had by all. Compared to last year, we had more than two times the volunteers and more than two times the activities for the children. More than two times the number of guests means more than two times the number of gifts and more than two times the food.
Thank you to all those that helped and thank you to all our guests this year. We had a very successful day yesterday. ~230 members of the community attended. It was our honour and privilege to serve. Regardless if only one family showed up or the record number we saw, our HOPE is that the children saw HOPE and that they have been changed through this experience.
The children met Santa, received gifts, enjoyed a meal with family and friends, received balloon animals/hats, had their faces painted, participated in arts and crafts that included making bracelets, making popsicle stick puzzles, coloring and building castles with Jenga blocks.
There were 2 sit down meal times due to the number of guests. 2 busses brought neighbors from the Knightsbridge area with Ted and Jenn in the Neighborhood and many more guests from The Journey Neighbourhood Centre, Ste. Louise Foodbank and Regeneration Outreach Community.
Here are a few pictures that tell the whole story.
